EagleVail Amenities Survey Results Are In!

EagleVail’s 2017 amenities survey is complete and analysis is underway.  As a whole, respondents are satisfied with amenities in EagleVail, with 69% indicating that they were satisfied or extremely satisfied and 52% indicating they that the community is moving in the right direction.  The survey also indicated that most residents would recommend EV to others as a good place to live.

The most frequently used amenities are walking, jogging, or cycling the neighborhood streets, the hiking and biking trails and use of the golf courses for purposes other than golf.  These three activities/amenities also top the “importance” rankings.

EagleVail has a long history of providing amenities for its property owners and residents.  The EagleVail Metropolitan District and EagleVail Property Owner's Association Boards of Directors engaged the assistance of consultant Andrej Birjulin, an Eagle County resident who has worked on several similar surveys.  The boards sought feedback from community members to assist them in maintaining and improving our neighborhood, and in determining budget priorities.  Andrej was assisted by a group of interested EagleVail homeowners.

The confidential survey saw a total of 486 individuals participate, the most in memory.  That compares with about 200 respondents in both the 2012 and 2014 surveys.  It is thought that the enhanced process used this year accounted for the increase in participation.  The first 300 participants received a $50 voucher to be redeemed for use at EV amenities and all other participants were entered into a random drawing for one of ten $150 vouchers.  In all, 310 vouchers valued at $16,500 were used as incentives.  To date, 86 fifty dollar vouchers have been redeemed for a total of $4,300.

Additionally, a postcard was sent to all EagleVail constituents encouraging their participation.  Finally, the survey was open for a much longer period of time and folks were reminded to take the survey via eblast, newsletter and sandwich board.

Andrej is doing further analysis on the data produced by the survey and his final report will be available soon.  Those interested can go to at 124 minutes into the meeting to watch the video of Andrej’s presentation to the EV Boards at their September 21st meeting.
