The paving project resulted in a wider, paved footprint and after consulting with our traffic consultants, McDowell Engineering, the county striped bicycle/pedestrian-share lanes. A special thanks to Eagle County Road & Bridge for all their hard work this year on our roads. This project will provide a safer corridor for pedestrians and bikes. The maintenance department will be putting up permanent signage in the coming days to help educate the community. They have installed temporary signs for now. Until the new signs arrive, we recognize the striping is a bit confusing right now. Please watch this video to understand how cars share the center lane. “How to navigate the new advisory lanes on Stone Creek & Deer Blvd”. Ultimately, the striping will keep drivers more aware of pedestrians and bikers and keep our community safe!
