East End Recreational Master Plan
Information and More Details
The EagleVail Metro District has retained Norris Design, a local planning and landscape architectural firm, to help create a master plan and vision for the East End Amenities Area. The area includes the Athletic Fields, Pavilion Park, Pond & Beach, Pump Track, and the Par 3 golf course.
These facilities were constructed in the early 1990’s and are in need of major repair and improvements. The Metro District and Norris are working with the community to explore new facilities and amenities that better fit the future needs of the community.
The Metro District surveyed the community and the students at the Homestake Peak School to give us input and feedback on the future of our East End Amenities. Over 450 surveys were collected as part of this process.
Norris Design and the District Staff hosted an open house in late October to solicit feedback from the community. Additional stakeholder meetings have been conducted with a variety of user groups including the Eagle County Government, Vail Rec District, and the School District.
There will be another open house in early 2021 to share the vision with the community and to take in additional input prior to developing a final master plan.
It is anticipated the new plan will be completed sometime early in 2021.
