EVMD COVID-19 PARKS & TRAILS ADVICE

PLAYGROUNDS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

“ATTENTION”

By the executive order of the Governor of Colorado and the Colorado Department of Health & Environment all playgrounds are closed until further notice because they pose a high risk of increasing transmission of the COVID-19 virus.  The parks and open space will remain open but individuals should continue to practice Social Distancing by remaining 6 feet away from other people.

Keep a Safe Social Distance in Parks and on Trails During the COVID-19 Pandemic!

The Metro District continues to encourage you to take precautions and follow general health hygiene:

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with your elbow (not your hands).
  • Refrain from touching your face.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • If you are sick, stay home.  Be mindful of your health - especially if you are running an above normal temperature.  CDC guidelines state you must be without a fever for at least a 24-hour period to be considered not contagious.
  • Please check the CDC website for travel notices.
